With ferry terminals located in the centre of the Quay, access to Sydney’s outer areas and suburbs couldn’t be easier. From Circular Quay, visitors can access Taronga Zoo, Manly, Parramatta, Balmain, Darling Harbour, Luna Park, Sydney Olympic Park and many other popular suburbs and destinations across Sydney. The most advantageous part of catching a ferry to your place of interest is the picturesque trip across the iconic Sydney Harbour.

Circular Quay has plenty of restaurants, cafés and dining areas on hand, providing a great view while you eat. Pedestrian access to most areas of the Quay is available, with visitors able to walk up to and around the Sydney Opera House.

Getting to Sydney’s Circular Quay*:

Being a major inner city destination, Sydney has many modes of transport to allow patrons access to Circular Quay.

Trains*: To get to Circular Quay, take the train to Circular Quay Station and proceed to the ground floor of the station.  From here you can access any of the Circular Quay attractions, restaurants or the Circular Quay ferry terminal.

Ferry*: For visitors not staying in Sydney’s CBD, ferries are available from the various wharves around the city of Sydney. Some of the popular wharves include Parramatta, Manly, Balmain, Sydney Olympic Park, Taronga Zoo and Mosman Bay, among others. Check with Sydney Ferries for timetable and wharf information.

Buses*: For guests in the inner CBD area, a free shuttle bus service is available throughout the day. Shuttles run every 10 minutes and run in a loop from Central Station to Circular Quay via George and Elizabeth Streets. Paid bus trips are also available for those staying in the outer Sydney suburbs (check with Sydney Transport for further information).
