Wildlife World (Sydney, Australia) - Overview:

Sydney Wildlife World is a multi-level, inner city zoo located at Sydney’s Darling Harbour.

With more than 65 exhibits and over 130 species of animals, Sydney Wildlife World gives guests a comprehensive and educational look at the animals of Australia.

Sydney Wildlife World has a number of defined habitats to display the vast array of animals native to Australia. These habitats include:

Reptile World, where you will find the world’s largest snake, and three of the most venomous snakes found anywhere in the world;

Invertebrates Display, which includes an astonishing array of butterflies, spiders, and insects;

Kakadu Gorge, home to one of the world’s largest crocodiles, Rex (an enormous 5-metre Saltwater Crocodile);

Semi-Arid Habitat, home to Wildlife’s World Red Kangaroos;

Nocturnal World, which features Australian nocturnal animals, mammals and wildlife that can be found in backyards and bushland across Australia; and   

Rainforest, where you will find the world’s deadliest bird: The Cassowary

SYDNEY WILDLIFE WORLD – REPTILES:

Reptile World - Overview:

Reptiles on display at Sydney Wildlife World include: Australia’s largest lizard, the Perenties; the iconic Australian Frilled Neck Lizard; and three of the most venomous snakes in the world (including the most venomous, the Inland Taipan).

WILDLIFE WORLD – SEMI-ARID GRASSLANDS:

Semi-Arid Grasslands - Overview:

The semi-arid grasslands habitat is situated on the rooftop of Sydney Wildlife World. It is here you will be able to get an up-close look at the Australian Red Kangaroo.

WILDLIFE WORLD – RAINFOREST HABITAT:

Rainforest Habitat - Overview:

The Rainforest habiotat is home to the world’s most dangerous bird, the Cassowary. The enclosure also houses small wallabies and a number of bird species.
